Awadhi mutton Biryani

is a variety of biryani which is very delicious and is mainly eaten with gravy. It is made from meat and cooked rice is layered over each other. This dish is very easy to prepare at home and takes very little time to get cooked.

Ingredients used to make Awadhi mutton Biryani

  1. Four cups of Basmati rice
  2. Onion
  3. Six to seven garlic cloves
  4. Ginger
  5. Four to five bay leaves
  6. Cinnamon stick
  7. Black cardamom
  8. Green cardamom
  9. Eight cloves
  10. Half nutmeg
  11. Half teaspoon of black pepper Corn
  12. One teaspoon of black cumin
  13. One teaspoon of cumin
  14. Red chillies
  15. Salt
  16. One teaspoon of turmeric powder
  17. One cup of meat
  18. Oil
  19. Two tablespoons of kewra water

  1. Take a bowl, add rice to it and wash them under cold water. After washing keep them in water for about 30 minutes

 

  1. Add cinnamon, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, black pepper, allspice, cumin, black cumin, chillies, and nutmeg add them to the grinder and grind them properly.

 

  1. Take a pressure cooker, add meat to it and cook it with 2 to 3 bay leaves, salt, turmeric powder and water.

 

  1. Cook it for about 5 to 6 minutes. After it gets cooked take a pan and heat oil in it with ginger, garlic and onion. Cook them for about 2 to 3 minutes.

 

  1. Now add spice powder, and salt then transfer this paste to cooked meat. Again cook for it for 7 to 8 minutes.

 

  1. Take a deep fry pan and place it on a gas stove. Now add water, bay leaves, green cardamoms, and salt. Boil it and in between add the soaked rice after draining the water.

 

  1. Take a saucepan spread a layer of cooked rice noe on its top add meat. Again add a layer of rice over the meat. At the end sprinkle some of the kewra water over it.

 

  1. Cover the pan with the lid and cook again for about 15 minutes.

 

  1. After the rice gets cooked properly take the lid out and add a teaspoon of oil or ghee over it.

 

  1. Now our delicious dish is prepared serve it on plates and enjoy eating it with loved ones.
