Kakori kebab

Ingredients used to make Kakori Kebab

  • Two cups mutton/lamb
  • One teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • Two teaspoons of salt
  • One-fourth teaspoon of black pepper
  • Two tablespoons of green coriander
  • Chopped green chillies
  • Two tablespoons of raw papaya
  • Four Cloves
  • One Black cardamom seeds
  • One-eighth teaspoon of cinnamon
  • One teaspoon cumin seeds
  • One Black mace
  • One-fourth teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Two cups onions
  • One-fourth cup of bhuna chana
  • One Egg
  • Ghee/oil
  • Lemon wedges


  1. Take a big bowl and mix mutton/lamb, ginger- garlic paste, salt, black pepper, green coriander, green chillies, raw papaya, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, nutmeg, chopped onions, bhuna chana properly with the help of a spoon.
  1. We have prepared it to marinate. So now marinate it for about 4 hours.
  1. After completing 4 hours of transfer I a grinder and grind to make a thick, smooth and fine paste.
  1. Now with the help of your hands or machine knead the prepared mixture properly and mix it in the roasted gram and the egg.
  1. After mixing it properly cover it with any cloth and refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours.

      1. Then take it out from the refrigerator and shape the meat around the skewers. Keep the kebabs on the grill over a tray.
      1. Instead of this, you can also keep them in a pre-heated oven.
      1. While cooking them rotate the grill after equal intervals of time so that they get cooked and browned properly from every side. This process will take around 15 to 20 minutes.
      1. Now apply ghee/oil with the help of a brush and cook again for about 2 minutes.
      1. Now our delicious dish is prepared. Serve it with chaat masala, onions lemon and green chutney.
